Source images come from Wikimedia Commons with licences verified against the Commons API before use. They have been rescaled and re-encoded for the web with metadata stripped; colour overlays seen on some pages are applied in CSS at render time, not baked into the files. Product imagery, by contrast, is always drawn: the hardware is at prototype stage, and photographing somebody else’s product as ours is exactly what this register exists to rule out.
