Live group map
Every watch in the group on one map, with name, status and last update. Filter to the ones that need attention rather than reading forty pins.
Manifest provisioning
Upload the group manifest; watches are assigned, labelled and linked to next-of-kin before the group leaves the origin country. No configuration in Saudi Arabia.
Sub-group and leader assignment
Split a party into buses, tents and family units, each with its own leader and its own escalation path, so an alert reaches the person who is thirty metres away rather than the office back home.
Perimeters per stage
Camp, hotel, Haram and procession perimeters defined once per stage of the rite and applied to the whole group.
Attention ranking
The group ordered by who needs reaching first: SOS, falls, perimeter breaches and silence. A leader with one pair of hands gets a queue, not a wall of readings. A variant with a skin-temperature sensor is available to operators on request for heat ranking.
Escalation and audit trail
Every alert, acknowledgement and resolution timestamped and exportable. When a regulator or a family asks what happened and when, there is a record.
Family access, scoped
Named next-of-kin see their own pilgrim and nobody else. Families stop calling the group leader for reassurance, which is itself a meaningful operational saving.
Reconciliation before departure
A final count against the manifest at every transit point, so a coach does not leave without someone on it.
How a season runs
Every setup step happens while you still have the group in one room at the origin airport. A product that needs a leader to configure software at Mina at midnight has not understood the job.

Handover at the origin airport
Watches are fitted at departure, not on arrival. Strap adjustment, wear checks and the family app walkthrough all happen while you still have the group in one room.

Console live for the rite
Your leaders run the group from the console on their own phones. Perimeters are pre-set per stage, so nobody is configuring software at Mina.

Reconcile and return
Watches are collected at departure and reconciled against the manifest. You keep the audit trail; we wipe the location history on the schedule you set.

Questions from operators
Is a wrist watch permissible in ihram?
The strap is plain moulded silicone with a smooth buckle, no stitched textile and no knot, the same category as an ordinary wristwatch or a medical alert bracelet, which are widely held to be permissible. We are not a religious authority and we do not present ourselves as one. We have built the watch so the ruling is straightforward, and we encourage every group to confirm it with the scholar they already rely on. We will supply the physical specification to help that conversation.
What happens when the networks are saturated?
This is the normal condition around the Haram and the camps, not an edge case, so it is a design target rather than something we hope against. The watch runs on 4G LTE on an IoT SIM with its own line, and it is built to buffer positions on the device when there is no capacity and upload them when the network returns, so the trail is complete even where the live view was not. We say design target deliberately: it has not yet been through a Hajj season, and we will publish what we measure when it has. The console shows the difference between "not moving" and "not reporting" explicitly, because conflating those two is how people get missed.
Who can see a pilgrim's location?
The pilgrim's registered group leader, and the next-of-kin that pilgrim personally nominated. Nobody else, including other pilgrims in the group. Location history is retained for the pilgrimage plus a retention window you set, then deleted. We do not sell location data, and there is no version of this product where we would.
What if a pilgrim does not want to be tracked?
Then they should not wear it, and you should be able to run the group without it. Consent is captured at fitting, the watch is removable at any time, and removal outside a charging window raises a low-priority notice to the leader rather than an emergency. A safety product that cannot be taken off is a different product with different ethics.
Do our group leaders need training?
The console is a map, a list ordered by who needs attention, and an acknowledge button. We run a one-hour session per operator before the season and provide a printed card in the leader's language. Leaders are managing forty people on foot in the heat; anything that needs training is a design failure.
What is the pilot programme?
For Hajj 1448 / 2027 we are working with a small number of operators rather than selling broadly, because the hardware is at prototype stage and we would rather be honest about that than oversell it. Pilot operators get the season at cost, direct access to the engineering team, and a say in what gets built next. In exchange we need real operational feedback, including the parts that do not work.
