About these terms
These terms govern your use of safedaira.com. They do not govern the supply of Safe Daira hardware or services: that is done under a separate written agreement with each operator, and no such agreement is created by using this website or submitting a form on it.
The product is pre-launch
Safe Daira hardware is at prototype stage. Every specification, capability and figure described on this site is a design target for a product that has not been manufactured, and any of it may change before production.
Registering interest through this site places you on a list. It does not create a contract, reserve stock, guarantee you a place in the pilot programme, or oblige us to supply anything. No payment is taken.
Safe Daira is not an emergency service
This is the most important term on this page, so it is stated plainly. Safe Daira is a safety aid. It raises an alert to people who are already responsible for a pilgrim: their group leader and their nominated next-of-kin.
- It does not contact, dispatch or integrate with Saudi emergency services, police, ambulance or civil defence.
- It is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat or monitor any medical condition.
- It does not replace the instructions of your group leader, your operator, or the Saudi authorities, which take precedence over anything the product says at all times.
- It depends on cellular networks, satellite positioning and battery charge, none of which we control and any of which can fail.
In an emergency, contact the local emergency services and your group leader. Do not wait for a device.
Accuracy of this site
We make a genuine effort to keep this site accurate, and where we cite a figure we name its source and year so you can check it. We do not warrant that every statement is complete or current, and this site is provided on an "as is" basis without warranties of any kind.
Where this site links to external sources, we are not responsible for their content.
Religious observance
We describe how the band has been physically designed with the restrictions of ihram in mind. We are a hardware company, not a religious authority, and nothing on this site is a religious ruling. Any question of permissibility should be directed to a qualified scholar, and we will supply the physical specification to support that.
Intellectual property
The Safe Daira name, mark, wordmark, written content, illustrations and interface designs on this site are ours. You may quote and link to this site with attribution. You may not reproduce it wholesale, or use our name or mark in a way that implies endorsement or partnership.
Safe Daira is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, or any national Hajj authority, committee or mission.
Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of this website or from reliance on information published on it.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top changes when we do, and the change is recorded in the public repository history for this site.
