Safe Daira for Moroccan pilgrim groups

Moroccan pilgrims are chosen by lottery and travel either with the official organisation run by the Ministry of Habous and Islamic Affairs or with a licensed travel agency, in a contingent that is among the oldest of any country, because the lottery gives priority to those who have waited longest.

How Hajj works from Morocco

The official organisation travels with its own guides, doctors and supervisors, and runs to a standard that most agencies try to match. The gap it cannot close by staffing is the one in Mina and at the Jamarat, where a supervisor responsible for a hundred and fifty pilgrims cannot see them. A ranked list of who needs attention, and the ability to call the pilgrim, is what the console adds to a system that is already well run.

Language on the ground is a particular Moroccan problem: Darija is not the Arabic of the signs and announcements in Makkah, and many older pilgrims from the countryside are more at home in French than in formal Arabic. The guide on the watch speaks Arabic and shows French as well, so the pilgrim hears what is happening in a voice they can follow.

Risks for a Moroccan group

The oldest contingent

Priority to the longest-waiting means pilgrims well into their seventies. Falls and heat are the expected failures, not the exceptions.

Official organisation and agencies

Two systems with different staffing. The Authority tier fits the ministry; the Group tier fits an agency with sixty pilgrims.

Arabic and French

The guide speaks Arabic and shows French; the console and family app are available in both.

Families across the Mediterranean

Many families have children in France, Spain and Belgium. Each gets a view of their own parent, in their own time zone.

Questions from operators in Morocco

Can the official organisation deploy it across the whole contingent?
Yes. That is the Authority tier: one manifest, central policy, and each supervisor seeing their own group.
Does it work for a small agency?
Yes. Per pilgrim per pilgrimage, no platform fee, no minimum.
Is it available in Morocco?
Through a regional distributor, with ANRT type approval filed before local sale. Families abroad can reserve a watch and have it fitted before the pilgrim departs.
